...In the last part of this series, lets pick up where we left off about success as a Yoga teacher. With regard to attracting, and keeping your Yoga students, it is not easy to do both. Many Yoga teachers focus on bringing new students in the front door, without considering the more important needs of their established students.
Do you have survey forms for your Yoga students? You should and also give them a reward for their participation. They are helping you learn what they want, and this is something you cannot afford to speculate on. This is one of the many ways your Yoga students become your teachers.

Yoga - A Path To Peace
...A few months ago, I attended a conference in Florida to work with a wonderful group of people in the medical and related health fields. We were all together because of our interest in different ways to treat the obesity epidemic. Once the conference was over, several of us decided to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon sun. Our conversations covered many topics, including our kids, our work, how some of us loved yoga, and, of course, eating and food. Yoga is relaxing and can create energy needed for reducing stress. It involves an awareness of slow, controlled breathing and stretching and posing the muscles of the body.
A study conducted by the Center for integrative Medicine of thomas jefferson University showed that a one hour session of yoga lowered cortisol in participants with no previous yoga experience, and after seven consecutive days, a significant decrease was seen.
